**Tropical Ruminant Livestock Unit (TRLU) is a standard unit of 250 kg of liveweight by
which ruminant livestock of different species can be compared. The conversion rates for
individual species are:
camel = 1.0, cattle = 0.7, and sheep and goats = 0.1 each.
