New strategy for pro-poor dairy development in Assam

Asia: Assam is located in the far North East corner of India. Around 36% of the population continues to live below the poverty line. ILRI and the Directorate of Dairy Development of the Government of Assam recently unveiled an action plan to help the poor in Assam improve their livelihoods through the dairy sector. End-game: A synthesis paper
