Mr Tamene Tiruneh
Mr Tamene Tiruneh is currently working as Environment Advisor for the Program Support Unit (PSU) of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) based in Addis Ababa. He provides technical backstopping support to all CIDA-funded programmes and projects in the Horn of Africa, and oversees that these adhere to sound environmental principles and practices. Prior to joining the PSU/CIDA in November 2000, Mr Tamene worked in different capacities in the Ethiopian government for almost 15 years. He also worked as consultant for various international and local non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Mr Tamene holds MSc degree in agricultural economics from the University of London, UK.
