Dr Zinash Seleshi
Dr Zinash Seleshi graduated with a BSc degree in animal science and an MSc degree in animal production from Alemaya College of Agriculture, Addis Ababa University. She earned her PhD degree in animal nutrition from the University of Reading, UK. Dr Zinash has worked as Research Officer and Head of the Feed and Nutrition Research Division at the then Institute of Agricultural Research (IAR) (now the Ethiopian Agricultural Research Organization, EARO) from 1979-88. As of June 1988, Dr Zinash has been serving as the Director of Animal Science Research of EARO where she is responsible for co-ordinating and managing programmes on dairy production, beef, small ruminants, camel, apiculture, animal power, fisheries, animal nutrition, animal health and poultry. She is also the national focal person of the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA) strategic research planning.
