Steve Kemp
Acting Operating Project Leader
PROFILE
Initiated the hunt for trypanotolerance genes in cattle and established the group at Liverpool which performed advanced intercross mapping and mapped murine tolerance Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL). He leads the consortium, and in particular co-ordinates, and makes available, the data generated. Steve is currently based at ILRI in Nairobi but continues to lead the consortium from this base. OPERATING PROJECTS
Improving Animal Genetic Resources Characterization.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Livestock genomics, genome function and diversity.
