Lucy Njuguna is a graduate fellow in the Sustainable Livestock Systems Program. She joined ILRI in January 2019. Her research focuses on the politics of knowledge production and use in the livestock sectors of Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia, with a special interest in the interaction between policymakers and livestock producers. The insights from this research will inform the design of protocols for tracking adaptation to climate change. As part of the Programme for Climate-Smart Livestock (PCSL), Lucy’s work contributes to building the capacity of policymakers in the three countries to track adaptation to climate change in the livestock sector. She is registered as an external PhD candidate with the Public Administration and Policy Group of Wageningen University.
