Innovation and Scaling Consultant
Murat Sartas is a scientist and developer specialized in innovation, knowledge, and multi-stakeholder network management systems. He advises international organizations, development programs, and projects on how to achieve impact at scale and ensure a high value for money in developing innovations.
He has produced more than 50 science and communication products on the performance of innovation programs, projects, and networks in top-tier science journals and global platforms. He has developed and programmed LESARD and Scaling Readiness, two performance assessment and management systems that have been tested and used in more than 25 countries globally.
Murat has more than 10 years of professional experience in more than 50 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. He has worked for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank, Consultative Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), several world-leading universities in agricultural and international development sectors such as Wageningen University and various consultancy companies in the agriculture and mining sectors.
He holds a Ph.D. degree from Wageningen University (Netherlands) on performance of research for development programs, projects and networks and 4 master degrees in Quantitative Economics (Turkey), Agricultural Economics (Sweden), Agribusiness Management (Germany) and Rural Development and Natural Resource Management (Sweden) as well as 2 bachelor of science degrees in Economics and International Relations from Middle East Technical University (Turkey).
