

Sarah Nyanchera Nyakeri is a Professional Science Communication intern at ILRI who works under both the communications and knowledge managament and Capactity development Units. She is currently a Molecular and Biology and Bioinformatics Masters student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and former graduate Msc Felow at ILRI. She is the current winner of the Capdev's Grand challenge Winner 2021/2022.
She is currently horning her science communication skills by supporting the ILRI's Podcast's, The Boma, Production as one of the producers. In writing, she helps the both the Biosciences and Feeds and Forages programs in writing blogs and supports the Social media team. Under capacity development, she writes articles and supports the Capdev challenge.
She holds a degree in Biochemistry from the Technical University of Kenya and a Digital marketing Certificate from an advertising academy, powered by Google. She comes with previous international and national experience involving both the lab and communications: CIP, ISAAA, Kephis, KAVI-ICR and USIU.
In her free time, she hosts the vulnerable scientist podcast and goes hiking.
