Thanhh Tu Mai
Mai Thanh Tu is recruited as Research Officer – Livestock CRP in ILRI East & Southeast Asia and CIAT office. She obtained her Master in Development Evaluation at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Her research interests are in policy impacts on rural households’ well-beings, poverty reduction and social inclusion. Before joining ILRI/CIAT, she was a research fellow of the Leibniz University of Hanover's Thailand - Vietnam Socio-Economic Panel Project. She had 10 years of working experience as researcher in various national and regional institutes. She worked for the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development under Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (2007-2011), Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (2011-2012) and Mekong Institute (2012-2014). She was the monitoring and evaluation coordinator for a regional project 'Developing the Agricultural Value Chain across the East–West Economic Corridor' and the CGIAR Research Program on Integrated Systems for the Humid Tropics in the Central Mekong Action Area. She is responsible for coordinating field activities under different Livestock CRP flagships in Mai Son district, Son La province.
