Yetnayet Mamo Bishaw is an employee of the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) since September 1995 in Animal Genetic Resources Group (AnGR) first on temporary bases and then since June 2000 on permanent bases as Research Technologist in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Yetnayet obtained her MSc in Animal Husbandry from Russian People’s Friend Ship University (1987-1993) and Advanced Diploma in Computer Science from School of Computer Science and Technology in Ethiopia. Areas of Interest: In research and development are documentation and making available all kinds of information on characterization and utilization of indigenous domestic animal genetic resources to the public. She is a member of the “development and administration of a public-domain electronic information resource on indigenous animal genetic resources of developing countries" project team. This database, known as the Domestic Animal Genetic Resources Information System (DAGRIS), is available on the ILRI website [http://dagris.ilri.cgiar.org] as well as on CD-ROM.
