Amos Omore is an epidemiologist working with the Policies, Institutions and Livelihoods (PIL) Program at ILRI. He has over 20 years experience and expertise in analysis of food safety risks in livestock product markets and experience in assessment of related policy, institutional and technological options that maximize benefits for the poor. He has authored and co-authored over 100 articles in journals, conference proceedings, training manuals, briefs, working papers, books and book chapters. He is currently based at the ILRI-anzania ( office where he contributes to generating technical and institutional options for improving markets that serve poor consumers and producers. He is coordinator of the Tanzania component of the CGIAR Research Program on Livestock and ILRI Representative in eastern and southern Africa.  Amos holds a PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics, MSc in Animal Production and Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM).
