Galiè is a Senior Social Scientist: Gender at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). She conducts gender analysis integrated in genetics, and feeds and forages. Her work also focuses on gendered empowerment, and nutrition and food security in the framework of livestock. Before joining ILRI she worked at the International Centre for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) on gendered empowerment, seed governance and participatory plant breeding. She has a PhD from Wageningen University and an MA in social anthropology of development from the University of London.
