Felix Opio is a Research Technician for the Smallholder Pig Value Chain projects in Uganda and is a member of the Livelihoods, Gender and Impact team at ILRI. He is based in Lira District (Northern Uganda). He is responsible for coordinating research for development activities in the pig value chains in the Northern region. Before joining ILRI, he served as Assistant Program manager for the Market-oriented Agricultural program at Action Against Hunger (ACF)-International. His working experience includes work as the Agricultural Project Manager for ZOA-Uganda, and with Mercy Corps-Uganda as Agricultural Team leader and Agricultural officer. Felix holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics. He is currently a candidate for a Master Program in Agro-enterprise Development at Gulu University.
