Dr. Jacob Mignouna is BecA-ILRI Hub’s director. He’s a trained plant molecular breeder and geneticist, who brings a wealth of experience in leading multilateral research.
Dr. Mignouna is a distinguished Frosty Hill Research fellow. He has worked with the Institute for Genomic Diversity at the Cornell University. He was also a research associate professor of biotechnology and co-director of USAID’s Farmer-to-Farmer program at the Virginia State University. He has previously served as the director for technical operations at the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), and most recently as a senior program officer and senior regional advisor for west Africa at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) in Seattle, USA.
