Blockages to pastoral livestock mobility. Case study 1: Prosopis juliflora in Afar, Ethiopia
Abstract
The study establishes an evidence base regarding the scale and impacts of the Prosopis juliflora invasion in Afar. It responds to the demand for current spatial data
and socioeconomic insights to inform policy discussions and management interventions designed to safeguard pastoral mobility and livelihoods. By integrating spatial analysis with community perspectives, the study aspires to reconcile the ecological and social dimensions of the invasion.
