Abstract

Discusses the objectives, activities and achievements of a goat project of the Malawi German Livestock Development Programme. Looks into the present scale of implementation and summarises the small holder farm surveys. compares state farms and smallholder farms regarding their contribution to smallholder goat farming. Discusses problems encountered in building up the goat breeding centre.
