People, Policies, and Institutions

People, Policies, and Institutions

Background

Governments, the private sector, donors, and other stakeholders are confronted with divergent information on policies, investment options, and interventions needed to better leverage livestock for sustainable development.

Evidence is needed on actors’ responses and trade-offs between domains of sustainability–economic, social, environmental and health.

This theme contributes to both the deployment and influencing pathways, particularly through more and better-targeted investments, improved business practices, and better policies to achieve greater and inclusive impact.

Goal

To enhance policies, investments and institutions for sustainable, resilient and equitable livestock-based livelihoods.
