Meeting the increased demand for animal products in Asia: Opportunities and challenges for research

Abstract

This chapter focuses on the nature of animal production resources in Asia, and the prevailing animal production systems and trends. It discusses potential opportunities to increase animal protein supplies, and emphasizes the need for increased research funds and institutional commitment to support productivity enhancement.
