Resource catalogue: Supporting Pastoralism and Agriculture in Recurrent and Protracted Crises

The Supporting Pastoralism and Agriculture in Recurrent and Protracted Crises (SPARC) programme was commissioned by the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to provide more meaningful and effective support to pastoralists, agro-pastoralists and farmers living in the context of climate change, protracted crises and ongoing conflicts. It does this by developing, brokering and managing knowledge which helps the broader development community to make more cost-effective and feasible interventions in the drylands. SPARC has been funded partially by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) since 2021.
This catalogue brings together all of SPARC’s published work. It is a resource for donors, non- governmental organisations (NGOs), policy-makers, and anyone seeking to better understand what works – and what does not – at building resilience in the drylands, including among some of the most marginalised groups and complex crises.
