Techniques for Enteric Methane Emissions Assessment in Ruminants
Abstract
Presentation at the conference 'Transforming crop residues into high-quality feed to improve livestock productivity and reduce emissions'. It reviews direct and indirect approaches for assessing enteric methane emissions in ruminants, including respiration chambers, the SF6 tracer technique, feed intake, digestibility, methane conversion factors and the role of improved data in moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2 estimates.
