Ahmed A. Hassan-Kadle

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kadle is a Somali One Health specialist and veterinary epidemiologist with over a decade of experience in zoonotic disease research, surveillance, and health systems strengthening. He is the Executive Director of the Abrar Research and Training Centre (ARACHTI) and Founder of the Somali One Health Centre, Somalia’s first institution dedicated to integrated human–animal–environment health systems. He holds a PhD and postdoctoral training in One Health from the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil, and his work focuses on vector-borne diseases, surveillance systems, and multisectoral health governance. Within the ARBO-WATCH project, he leads the Decision Support Tool (DST) Work Package, guiding the development of predictive, climate-informed epidemic intelligence systems across Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
