John Mutua is a postdoctoral fellow working under the UK Met Office's Weather and Climate Information Services (WISER) programme to advance co-production approaches for weather and climate information services for climate resilience in East Africa. His research explores how to improve climate services across East Africa focusing on long-term climate information for national and regional climate adaptation planning. He holds a BA in Geography from Moi University, a Master's in Climate Change Adaptation from the University of Nairobi, and a PhD in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences from the University of Edinburgh.
