Returns from small ruminant production in southwest Nigeria

Abstract

Presents estimates of the returns from production of Dwarf sheep & goats under traditional systems and the variability in returns in south west Nigeria. Discusses alternative approaches to raising productivity esdisease control to reduce mortality and improved nutrition; assesses suitability of pasture production, housing & stall-feeding or alley farming in increasing returns.
