Abstract

Discusses the importance of dairy imports in sub-Saharan Africa, examining factors which can influence the development of dairy imports; the effect of increased imports on producers and consumers; and the influence of national policies on imports. Assesses prospects of dairy food aid as an instrument for national dairy development.
