Dr. Aamir Muse Osman is a veterinarian and One Health specialist focused on the epidemiology and control of vector-borne and zoonotic diseases in pastoral and low-resource settings. He holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Abrar University (Somalia) and MSc and PhD degrees in One Health from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil). He is currently a postdoctoral scientist with the ARBO-WATCH project, advancing integrated surveillance systems to strengthen early warning and response capacity for arboviral outbreaks in the Horn of Africa. He co-led the FAO/Wageningen-funded One Health in Action: Mobile App and Suitcase Lab for Rift Valley Fever Prevention project and is a recipient of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) Early Career Grant 2025.
