Scientist: Gender Research Economist

Immaculate Omondi is a Gender Research Economist at ILRI.
Immaculate holds a PhD. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Giessen, Germany. She also holds an MSc. degree in agricultural economics  and a bachelor's degree in agribusiness management from Egerton University, Kenya.  She conducted her post-doctoral research at ICIPE (International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology).
Previously, she worked at ILRI as a Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation Scientist in Policies, Institutions and Livelihoods (PIL) Program. Earlier in her career, she worked at ILRI as a Research Technician – Agricultural Economist, attached to the East African Dairy Development project (phase 1) after completing her graduate fellowship at ILRI.
