Understanding Agrifood Systems with Qualitative Open Data: The GENNOVATE Dataset
Abstract
GENNOVATE is a global comparative research initiative that addresses the question of how gender norms and agency influence men’s, women’s, and youth’s ability to innovate and to adopt innovation in agriculture and natural resource management. It was run by nine CGIAR centers from 2014 to 2018 across 26 countries in the Global South. It offers a “bottom-up” perspective that supports gender-transformative approaches and catalyzes change in AR4D.
