Dr. Chinyere Ekine-Dzivenu, is a scientist and statistical geneticist at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) Nairobi, Kenya, and is committed to advancing livestock improvement in resource-limited production systems. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, she utilizes genetics, genomics, and information communication technology (ICT) tools to address challenges in these systems, aiming to enhance resilience, productivity, and profitability across various livestock enterprises . Her current research focuses on climate change and heat stress impacts on smallholder livestock production, striving to explore innovative strategies that ensure sustainability, enhance food and nutritional security and improve farmers' livelihoods while mitigating the environmental impact of livestock. Driven and results-oriented, she excels in both independent and collaborative research, finding great satisfaction in contributing to her community and maintaining a lifelong commitment to learning.
