COP 27
ILRI at COP 27
The importance of livestock in helping low- and middle-income countries adapt to climate change has received very little coverage in most mainstream western publications, despite the livestock sector's prominence in public debates and policy deliberations on climate change. There is little recognition of the need for additional funding to help the livestock industry survive and make sure that, despite climate change, livestock will still provide people with a way out of poverty.
For ILRI, COP27 is a chance to share these opinions as part of a worldwide dialogue. Through the GLAD network, ILRI and partners will be engaging in a number of events during the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) to the UNFCCC, happening from 7-18 November 2022, Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
