Celebrating Iain Wright

Celebrating Iain Wright

In May 2024, Iain Wright retired as ILRI’s Deputy Director General Research and Development for Integrated Sciences. After a 17-year tenure we bid farewell to ILRI Deputy Director General Research and Development for Integrated Sciences.

Iain joined ILRI in Oct 2006 as the Regional Representative in Asia. In Jan 2012, he was Program Leader Animal Sciences for Sustainable Productivity and Director General Representative in Ethiopia and in 2014 onwards he became Deputy Director General Research and Development – Integrated Sciences

During his tenure, Iain strengthened ILRI’s research on the interconnections between people, livestock, and the environment, significantly raising the profile of the gender platform. He will continue to guide and support the institute as he joins the ranks of ILRI’s esteemed emeritus fellows.

This page compiles tributes for Iain.
