Lydia Assefa is a communications consultant for ILRI, supporting the Tropical Poultry Genetic Solutions (TPGS) project enhance its outreach and visibility. 

Before joining ILRI, Lydia worked for Roche as the Communications & Public Affairs Partner for Africa, where she was responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies, leading campaigns, creating content, and improving employee engagement. Lydia's previous experience includes managing communications efforts for private, public, and non-profit organizations in the financial, humanitarian, and agricultural sectors.  

Lydia has a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Addis Ababa University and an MBA from Unity University in Addis Ababa.
