From Margins to Mainstream: Recognizing the role of pastoralism in food systems transformation

This session will make the case for investing in pastoralist food systems, showcase innovations in West African livestock systems and opportunities for the youth and women to contribute, and examine the policy and financing shifts required. It takes forward the momentum created by the coalition on Pastoralism as a Food System at the UNFSS Stocktake+4 and will offer concrete recommendations for AFSF and the United Nations International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists.
