Transboundary cattle diseases
Abstract
This dataset contains three data files: cbpp.xlsx – epidemiological data on CBPP (contagious bovine pleuropneumonia), fmd.xlsx on FMD (Foot-and-Mouth-Disease, and lsd.xlsx on LSD (Lumpy skin disease). Each data file contains a binary response data column indicating presence (1) or absence (0) of the disease at each location/data point. There are also a factor covariate ‘Year_region’ representing the geographic region in combination with the year of data collection, environmental covariates (Altitude, Temperature,Precipitation, Relative_humidity, and Wind_speed, described in the “variable’ sheet), x and y columns for longitude and latitude coordinates, and Weight variable which is a weighting factor for each observation. The variables are described in the excel sheet “variable” in each of the files. The data were collected during the period 2012 to 2019 and contain 3533 data points. The data can be used for epidemiological spatial analysis using the cbpp, fmd, or lsd columns as dependent variables and the covariates as well as the coordinates.
