Buke Wako is a veterinarian with extensive experience in the realm of community development, project implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of community-based initiatives. With interest and focus on multidisciplinary collaborations and policy solutions. 

Having prior experience working with Veterinarians without Borders/Vétérinaires sans Frontières-Suisse in forging partnerships with county governments and diverse workforces contributing to resilience of vulnerable populations by enhancing the health and productivity of their livestock while nurturing a sustainable environment. 

Her current work focuses on facilitating uptake, adaption, and adoption of solutions to One Health (OH) issues, with the OH concept embedded across society in Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA).
