I am a Development Economist and Research Specialist working at the intersection of climate resilience, risk management, anticipatory action, digital innovations, and sustainable livestock systems across Africa’s drylands. My work spans East, Horn, and West Africa, focusing on strengthening the resilience of vulnerable populations through climate risk financing, index insurance, anticipatory action systems, digital information platforms, market intelligence, and rangeland management. I have led and coordinated multidisciplinary research programs, including randomized controlled trials, impact evaluations, willingness-to-pay studies, and policy-oriented research on pastoral and agricultural systems. My expertise encompasses development economics, climate adaptation, food security, livestock markets, citizen science, early warning systems, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong emphasis on translating high-frequency data and rigorous economic analysis into actionable insights that inform policy, investment, and development programming in fragile, conflict-affected, and climate-vulnerable regions.
