
I am a research officer at ILRI, working within the ILRI Gender Team. My academic background is a BSc in Agricultural Education and Extension (AGED); an MSc in Agricultural and Applied Economics, and Gender and development studies. My areas of expertise include: Assessing restrictive gender norms in the diverse livestock contexts; assessing the local conceptualizations of empowerment among women and men within the livestock contexts; assessing the impact/effects of gender transformative approaches (GTAs) and gender accommodative approaches (GAAs) on women's and men's ability to participate in livestock enterprises, and on empowerment; value chains analysis, towards equitable, and transformative interventions. Steering business to business engagements (B2B) among livestock value chain players, and publishing of peer reviewed scientific outputs.
